This is me, Idafen Santana Pérez, developer, lecturer and researcher. I am currently working at ISTAC on data management for Air Quality. Formerly research fellow at the Ontology Engineering Group, where I worked on topics related to Open Science and Linked Data in general.
As for my academic record, I received the MSc degree in Complex Software Systems in 2010 and the PhD degree in Artificial Intelligence in 2016, both at Universidad Politecnica de Madrid. From 2011 to 2015 I held a FPU scholarship, at the Artificial Intelligence Department of the Computer Science (2012). I also hold a degree in Computer Science from Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (2008) awarded for the second best academic record. During 2014 I did a research stay at the Information Science Institute, University of Southern California.
I have also produced some logos in my free time. An small list of them can be found in my portfolio.
- AstroPhone in an ongoing initiative I proposes within the STARS4ALL EU project, to increase awareness on Light Pollution, using smartphones and astrophotography. AstroPhone is intended, but not limited to, students and teachers at high school.
- OnToology is a system combining several tools, aiming to support collaborative ontology development based on GitHub. If you have an ontology-based project, or you are using an ontology/vocabulary in your software project, this tool might be for you! Check it out an let us know 😉
